Fage Total Yogurt for doggie treats?

Lets face it, in the north east it has been hot hot hot over the past week. If you have dogs, you can feel my pain that I could not walk them or even bring them outside to play without getting them wet first. Most of the time my Saint Bernard would not even go out the door in the heat. My kids eat ice pops and ice cream to cool off in the summer heat and have a treat, so that got me to thinking...maybe I could make something frozen for my dogs to cool off also.

Since I am working on a campaign for Bzzagent on Fage Total Yogurt (I got it free to try) and I have been having so much fun trying out their recipes for my family, maybe I can make a frosty treat for my dogs with Fage Total Yogurt. I know they have Frosty Paws ice cream for dogs in the stores, but I could not bring myself to pay the amount of money they are asking for them. That is when I decided to make my own Frosty treat for my two beef cakes using Fage Total Yogurt. Here is what I did:

32 oz. plain Fage Total Yogurt
  1 mashed banana
2 Tablespoons peanut butter
2 Tablespoons honey

1. Mix all these ingredients in your blender, then pour into ice cube trays or even a kong toy to freeze and serve. Be sure the mold you freeze your treat into is either 1. large enough that your dog won't be able to swallow it whole when frozen solid. or 2. Shaped, like our bone ice cube trays, with slender sections so it can be crunched easier.

It was that easy! And my dogs loved loved loved it. Now, if you are a fancy smancy baker (of cooker as my daughter would say) you can get your mixture and spread it out on waxed paper (about 1 to 2 inches thick and freeze for about ten minutes, and then use a cookie cutter to cut out fun shapes for your precious pooch! Think doggie bone cookie cutters, or cat cookie cutters if your dogs hate cats as much as mine do! Then just pop back in the freezer until they are frozen solid. Easy peasy and a great yummy frosty treat for your dogs on those hot summer days.

If you have any Fage Total yogurt left after making your doggie treats there are a ton of great recipes here to make interesting new dinners for your family too! If you have a favorite recipe made with yogurt, shoot me an email with it, I will post it and try it! I am always looking for new ways to spice up my dinner menu. Stay cool peeps!

Drive your mother Mad this Mothers Day with Pure Madness Chocolate

Are you in need of a good idea for mom for Mothers Day? If you are anything like me, your mother has everything and anything she needs. I am sure that another picture of the grand kids would be really nice, and yet another bouquet of flowers would be appreciated, but why not add something new and different for mom to indulge in this Mothers Day.

I received a box of Pure Madness Chocolates from BzzAgent to try out and review. I jumped at the chance because, well, who does not love chocolate. Once I opened the beautiful black and pink box I knew these truffles were going to be different and immediately thought to myself that this would make a great gift for mom, or even a pick me up for a friend who is having a tough time. The little truffles were beautiful and so different looking. One had salt on the top and another had shaved chocolate, while yet another had nuts. They were quite decadent looking.

My box of Pure Madness Truffles had such varieties as Espresso, Chili Lime, Rum Raisin, Salt, and Classic. They were a delicious blend of Dark and Milk Chocolate and come in a bunch of different varieties that can be found here. I dont think our box of truffles lasted 2 days in our house before it was empty. My favorite was the Espresso truffle and the Espresso chocolate bar. YUM!

This mothers day I will be getting three boxes of Pure Madness Chocolates, one for my mother, one for my mother in law and one for myself. Only this time, I am hiding my box from the rest of the family. Oh and I am sure I am going to frame a picture of the grandkids, ya know, for good measure!

Lysol Touch of Foam=FUN

Today I want to talk about a fabulous product from Lysol. Lysol Touch of Foam. This product is a must have if you have kids in the house. First of all the dispenser releases just enough foam to get those little hands clean, and best of all, there is little to no mess. I don't know about your kids, but my kids make a total mess of the bathroom washing their hands. I am constantly cleaning up sticky dried up soap off the counters, in the sink, and worst yet is when the soap does not easily clean off their hands and they walk around leaving soapy hand prints on everything. Since trying Lysol Touch of Foam that BzzAgent sent me to review, hand washing time has been a non-issue  Well, that is unless you want to count the squeals of delight that come from the bathroom when friends are over and its time to wash up for snack. Foam=Fun!

As a mom, I must say that I am happy that Lysol Touch of Foam kills 99.9% of germs and also leaves your hands moisturized due to the moisture enriched bubbles. OH and to boot Lysol made the pump itself  resistant to bacteria, which means no more stinky soap dispensers in the bathroom!  Lysol comes in Rose and Cherry in Bloom, Wild Berry Bliss, and Creamy Vanilla Orchid, which to me smells more like Lavender

If you have kids in the house or not why not give Lysol Touch of Foam a whirl. I will be buying this soap for hand washing from now on.
